Lepacious Bose has surpised fans with a new shoot exclusively on BellaNaija. Bosede Olufunke Ogunboye aka Lepacious Bose has been on her weightloss journey over the last 12 months. According to Lepacious Bose says fans have been super supportive of her decision to improve her health via eating healthy and exercising.



In her words

“Being a professional comedian allows me turn anything into a joke and I often used my weight as a joke but this weight loss journey isn’t a joke, I still want to come down a few sizes more and I am determined, working very hard at it. The health benefits come first and if I can be honest, I actually feel better. I carry myself better now because carrying all that weight around was equivalent to me carrying three bags of rice which I didn’t realise until the load was dropped…Talk about my burden becoming lighter. Lol.

The only problem is I have to buy new clothes with every size I lose…and that’s very expensive, everytime I need to go out I panic because suddenly everything is now too big, its a new and strange experience for me, because everything used to be too small and tight lol”

Lepacious Bose who is an eloquent speaker and lawyer, admits she was a little bit nervous about the photoshoot, because she “still feels too big”. She has come a long way from size 32 to size 18, yet she feels she is still a long way off though she admits that she loves these photos and cannot stop admiring them.

The future is looking even better for Lepacious Bose as there are whispers of a new TV show and corporate endorsements.

Where were you all when he was sick and dying of pain and depression? Oh yeah some of you will say “I never knew/heard” that’s crap! His last post on instagram was 13 weeks ago did you try to find out why? Did he change dp on bbm or whatsapp? Some fake ass pple putting his name on dp now didn’t put his picture up on his birthday oooo. Now he is dead, they are putting his picture up.

Calling him prolific music writer why didn’t you ever pay him to write for you. Calling him a great performer when was the last time any of you paid him to perform at shows? Where were you all when Muyiwa’s career went down? You fake ass friends avoided him like a plague cause you thought he was no longer a relevant artist.

She shared a photo on her Instagram page Saturday morning showing how slim she’s become.

The comedienne also posted an inspiring caption of the photo of how great weight loss is but one should not take it too far by living “under a self imposed dictatorship”.

She also urged that people should “think of their weight as something that (once you reach a healthy weight) can go up an down to some extent” and one should be comfortable with it. According to her, weight loss is not a “cure all” for life’s problems and challenges.

She ended the caption with “to be continued”

You lose weight, maybe three or four pounds maybe much more. But you slip, have a bad day, or a “weak moment” and you eat something you shouldn’t have. And what do you tell yourself? ‘Now I’ve completely blown it!’ I might as well really binge! Beware the trap of perfectionism – aim to eat sensibly and healthily most of the time not all the time. Don’t live under a self imposed dictatorship. We all eat more than we should of the wrong kind of stuff now and then. Think of your weight as something that (once you’ve reached a healthy weight) can go up and down to some extent. Have a ‘sliding scale’ in your mind of a couple of pounds either side your target weight. Everyone’s weight fluctuates a bit and you should prepare for this. No one can live for long under a self imposed too harsh dictatorship. The whole idea is to enjoy the journey because it’s the journey of a lifetime. Change what ‘treats’ mean to you. Like I always say it’s a mind game: all our lives we have been brainwashed; from childhood it’s drummed into us that “treats” consist of fatty, sugary empty calorific stodge. So what happens next? We start eating healthily and suddenly we have no treats. We feel deprived. Of course a treat is whatever you decide it is. Is it really a treat to clog arteries, add unsightly fat, feel bad about yourself, risk diabetes and heart disease? Then out of guilt go on a binge? Write down five treats that don’t involve enhancing fat or sugar. Whether the treat is calling a friend, going for a walk, or even having a cup of special tea or coffee, we can all reward and comfort ourselves.  It’s how we do it that counts. Weight loss is not a cure-all Don’t expect weight loss to cure all of life’s problems. Sure you’ll be healthier, fitter and so on, and that will have positive and maybe unexpected positive ripple effects but, as a slimmer person, you’ll still have a bad day in the office, moments of self doubt, times when you feel undervalued. Believe it or not, many people feel let down when they become slimmer and then find that being slim doesn’t solve all their problems in one go (i discovered that the hard way and it was a painful reality) to be continued.

Last year comedian Lepacious Bose showed off her new amazing figure and had some inspiring words to say to people who were looking to lose weight as well (click here) and now in a recent interview she explains what kick started her fitness journey in the first place.

Talking about her inspiration to begin her transformation, she said:

If you have gone through my Instagram page, you would have seen where I wrote a story of how my nephew said to me that I was breathing funny. I asked him how and he said, I was breathing like somebody that was going to die. When it said it, it was scary. He looked at me and said, Please Aunty Bose, don’t die. I took a check and decided to ask myself some questions, Is this all there is to life? I took an inventory of my life and asked myself if I was truly happy and the answer was no! I wrote a list of things that made me happy. I couldn’t find much to write. I tried to write a list of things that made me unhappy and I had many things to write. The first 10 things were tied to being fat. So, I decided it was time to make a change. I decided to take the bull by the horn and do something about it.

On her new look giving her more confidence she said:

There is no way you will lose weight and not feel more confident. You will definitely feel happier and healthier. You will feel sexier, people will commend you, saying nice things about you. You will definitely feel more confident.  All that work together. It is not rocket science, once the weight starts going down you will see reactions from people. The fact that you can work into a shop and see your size there is amazing. You don’t have to buy what you see but what you like, all that come together to build up your confidence. The more confident you feel, the more love you feel towards yourself.

We all know Lepacious Bose has been on a very personal journey for over three years. We have known her by her stage name, Lepacious Bose, a name that was the stark opposite of what she looked like physically. After an eye-opening experience with her adored nephew she made a commitment to actually save her life by loosing the excess weight. She has shared her weight struggles and triumphs with her fans and this has encouraged so many who want to change their lives.

A few Fridays ago Lepacious Bose celebrated her birthday with close friends and family. This was no regular birthday party – it was a thanksgiving celebration. She has much to be thankful for. After a harrowing 4 months, she is able to stand with us and make us laugh the way she always has.

These pictures are a symbol of what we could call her “coming out” party. The pictures show so many sides of her that some haven’t seen before or may have been distracted from seeing. She stands confidently, poses gorgeously, smirks mischievously and laughs happily.

Perhaps her stage name had been a not too subtle prophecy. Her body may have changed but she is the same Lepacious Bose we have come to know and love. Indeed she is now truly “Lepacious” and we welcome her!

Using a few kinky hair extensions, Omozo of O’Naturals came up with a regal and mature look for Lepacious Bose to flaunt her natural hair. Omozo told us she didn’t want to do any hairstyle that would be too flamboyant but she wanted the shoot to be all about Lepacious Bose and her new look. She achieved these looks by adding extensions with crochet braids and styling it in different ways suit each outfit Lepacious Bose had on during the shoot. Chief Daddy tells the story of billionaire industrialist Chief Beecroft, a flamboyant benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and assorted mistresses. Chief lives large, like there’s no tomorrow, until the day he dies suddenly and the ‘bullion van’ stops! What’s in his will and who gets all that money? What happens next will surprise you, as Chief Daddy has the last laugh from beyond the grave.

Linda Ejiofor plays the role of Chief’s unofficial PA with a secret key to Chief Daddy’s affections. Ini Edo plays the role of the exciting mistress and secret baby mama who needs to secure her cashflow. Shaffy Bello plays the role of the hidden second wife who now wants to take her rightful place. Chigul plays the role of Chinelo Ubani, aka Chuchu; co-owner of a failing business with an incompetent partner played by Nedu – in need of a big payday. Joke Silva plays the role of Kemi Beecroft, aka Lady Kay; haughty, high-society wife and former mistress of Chief Daddy, determined to secure her only son’s future.

The first teaser garnered over 23 million views on social media, suggesting that this may become the biggest Nollywood title of the year. The movie will be in cinemas from Friday, December 14th, with the premiere scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

Chief Daddy chronicles the secrets, surprises, twists, and turns that follow the death of ’Chief Beecroft‘, played by Taiwo Obileye, a wealthy and benevolent industrialist with a large family, household staff and mistresses who are all dependent on him.

This 60-second teaser captures the moment when ’Chuchu‘ and ’Jodi D’, owners of a failing funeral business (played by Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah and Chinedu ‘Nedu’ Ani) believe they have hit the jackpot when they are contracted to coordinate the funeral.

“This second teaser is another great example of what this movie has to offer – comedy, suspense, and drama. With the wealth of talent featured in this movie, the audience will remain captivated until the very end,” said Mo Abudu, executive producer.

Unexpected characters emerge and true intentions are revealed, as everyone battles to get a piece of the pie that is Chief Daddy’s estate.

On Thursday, November 15th, 2018, EbonyLife Films hosted selected guests to an exclusive screening of upcoming feature film, Chief Daddy. Members of the press, cast and cinema operators were all present to view the movie as it debuted for the first time at the new Filmhouse cinema, Twin Waters, Oniru, Lagos.

As anticipated, Chief Daddy was a hit with guests as they watched the hilarious movie for the very first time. The hysterical scenes had viewers laughing so hard that tears streamed down their faces. The surprise hit of the screening was a hilarious but nuanced performance from Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, as his character “AK Famzy”, of the movie’s theme song “Moving Mad”. The melody and lyrics of the song were so catchy that viewers continued to sing it even after the movie was over.

At the screening, reporters and critics got a first look at the movie; allowing them the opportunity to enjoy the experience and express their first-hand opinions about it. Pleased with the turnout, Mo Abudu, executive producer of the movie, said “The buzz is amazing! The premiere will hold at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, ahead of the movie’s debut in cinemas on Friday, December 14th, 2018.

EbonyLife Films, producers of blockbuster movies The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2, and The Royal Hibiscus Hotel has released its first teaser for the upcoming movie, Chief Daddy, set to be released in cinemas on 14th December 2018.

The film has a stellar cast starring veterans and newer actors in the Nollywood industry including Bisola Aiyeola, Funke Akindele, Zainab Balogun, Shaffy Bello, Lepacious Bose, Ini Edo, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Linda Ejiofor, Mawuli Gavor, Kate Henshaw, Ayo Lijadu, Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Beverly Naya, Chinedu ‘Nedu’ Ani, Uti Nwachukwu, Taiwo Obileye, Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah, Rachel Oniga, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor and Joke Silva. Chief Daddy is centered on the life of billionaire industrialist, Chief Beecroft, who is known to be a pillar of the society. He is extravagant, exuberant and larger-than-life but extremely benevolent, as he serves as a benefactor to everyone around him including a large extended family of relatives, household staff, and mistresses. All seems well in the Beecroft household until Chief Daddy passes away and suddenly the ‘wheels begin to turn’ and things go awry.

The teaser gives a sneak peek into the movie, showing the pivotal moment when Chief Daddy dies and the events that unfold immediately afterwards. What follows reveals enormous surprises, twist and turns that prove larger than the life Chief Daddy lived.
